Collapsible seating device
The invention relates to a collapsible seating device.
Collapsible seating devices are known in the art which comprise a support structure having at least one substantially rectilinear support on which a first leg and a second leg are disposed to fix the seat device to a first and a second support on the ground. The seat of the known seat devices can be folded upwards so that the space in front of the seat device remains free in the unused state. Such seating devices are used in stadiums, especially in football stadiums.
However, especially in football stadiums, the task is that seats for some events must be converted to standing room. For this purpose, it is known to dismantle the existing seat devices or to fold after removal of interposed passport elements on the side. This either requires a great deal of work or reduces the available space of the remaining standing room.
An object of the invention is therefore to provide a seat device that can be folded in a simple manner and allows a quick and space-saving conversion of a seat in a standing position.
According to the invention, these and other objects are achieved by a seat apparatus in which the first leg is rotatably supported at its lower end to the first bracket and guided at its upper end along the carrier in a first linear guide, and the second foot at its lower End is rotatably mounted on the second bracket and is guided at its upper end along the carrier in a second linear guide, so that a linear displacement of the upper ends of the feet in the guides causes a longitudinal extent of the carrier substantially perpendicular displacement of the support structure.
By this embodiment of the invention, the support structure can be moved together with the seat vertically downwards without the side of the seat device space must be claimed. The feet serve to support the seat in a vertical position and, when converted to standing space, are turned sideways along a linear guide of the wearer so that the support structure can be moved vertically downwards without the feet having to be disassembled.
According to the invention it can be provided that for guiding the upper ends of the feet in the carrier, a first displaceable slide and a second displaceable slide are provided, which are connected to the upper ends of the feet via a rotation axis. For this purpose, the carrier may be listed as a hollow profile, in the interior of the carriage are linearly feasible. The linear guides can preferably be designed as elongated holes, which are adapted to the diameter of the axis of rotation. It can also be provided that in the carrier only a single linear guide is arranged, which leads both the first, and the second foot.
The carriages may in particular comprise polyamide or consist entirely of polyamide. This allows a particularly low-friction guidance of the feet in the guides. The connection of the carriage with the upper ends of the feet, so the axis of rotation of the feet can be done via a fixed in the carriage and rotatably mounted on the foot bolts.
Instead of the carriage or carriages or in addition to the one or more carriages ball bearings can be provided to guide the upper ends of the feet in the carrier.
According to the invention, a strut may be provided which is rotatably mounted at its lower end to the first holder, and guided at its upper end along the carrier in a third guide and is coupled at its upper end via a rotation axis with the second carriage, so that the Strut and the second foot are always aligned substantially parallel to each other. This results in the strut acting as a driver, so that upon rotation of the first foot always the second foot makes a turn. The strut and the second leg are coupled so that they take the shape of a parallelogram when lowering the carrier. It can also be provided that in the carrier only a single linear guide is arranged, which leads both the first, as well as the second leg and the strut.
According to the invention it can be provided that for linear displacement of the upper ends of the feet in the support structure, an externally accessible gear is provided, which is provided for engagement in two, arranged in the interior of the support structure racks, each hingedly connected to the upper ends of the feet are. For this purpose, for example, a recess may be provided in the back of the seat device, so that the gear, for example with a cordless screwdriver, can be actuated by this recess. When the gear is rotated, the racks are moved linearly, so that the upper ends of the feet move linearly in their guides. As a result, the feet make a rotational movement, so that the support structure is set in vertical movement.
According to the invention, it may be provided that the toothed racks are arranged with respect to the toothed wheel in such a way that the direction of displacement of the toothed racks is opposite when the toothed wheel is actuated, such that upon actuation of the toothed wheel the upper ends of the first foot and the second foot move away from one another.
According to the invention, however, it can also be provided that the two toothed racks move in the same direction when the gear is actuated, so that the upper ends of the feet move in the same direction. For this purpose, the racks may for example be arranged directly above one another, or it may be provided only a single rack.
According to the invention it can be provided that at least one of the support structure about an axis rotatably mounted backrest and at least one, preferably also rotatably mounted, seat surface is provided, wherein on the back of the backrest a tread, preferably made of corrugated sheet metal is arranged. As a result, the back of the backrest can be used as a standing room when the seat device is folded.
According to the invention it can be provided that a circumferential, serving as a breakwater metal bracket is provided on the support structure. This metal bar can extend over the back of the back up to a height that allows the standing viewers to lean.
According to the invention it can be provided that on the brackets a hinged around a rotational axis skirt with first recesses and second recesses for receiving and securing the feet and the strut is provided. When using the seat device as a seat, the skirt is locked and fixes the position of the feet and the strut positively via corresponding recesses against unintentional operation. When folding the seat, the apron is folded forward and releases the feet and the strut free.
According to the invention, it may be provided that the skirt is dimensioned and arranged in such a way that, when folded down, it substantially completely conceals the free space between the backrest and the substrate which arises in the folded-up state of the seat device. As a result, the area below the backrest in the folded state is covered from the front and is thus protected from dirt or damage.
According to the invention, it can be provided that at least one first U-shaped side foot and at least one second U-shaped side leg for stabilizing the seat device in the folded-up state are provided on the carrier. The burden of the standing room rests in the folded state mainly or entirely on these side feet.
According to the invention it can be provided that the strut has a smaller thickness and stability than the feet, since the strut does not have to fulfill a stabilizing function, but merely serves to couple the first and second feet.
According to the invention it can be provided that in each case a torsion spring is provided in the first foot and in the second foot, which is fixed at one end in the foot, and at the other end to the bracket and counteracts a displacement of the feet from the vertical position. The stiffness of the torsion spring can be selected so that a vertical height adjustment of the seat device can be done without drive or only manually.
According to the invention it can be provided that at least one gas spring is provided for the vertical adjustment of the seat device on the carrier or on the supporting structure. This eliminates the need for the gear and the racks for manual vertical displacement of the support structure, and it is achieved a particularly comfortable height adjustment of the seat device.
The invention further extends to a method for seating a staircase-shaped area having at least a first platform and a second platform arranged at a vertical distance from the first platform, wherein collapsible seating devices according to the invention are arranged on the platforms, the height of the collapsible seating devices being selected such in that it corresponds substantially to half the vertical distance of the platforms, so that the folded seat devices form an intermediate stage. Preferably, the horizontal extent of the seat device, so the depth of the seat, are selected so that the seat device in the folded state forms an intermediate stage between the first platform and the second platform. This can be easily formed from a seat two vertically staggered standing room.
Further features of the invention will become apparent from the claims, the description of the embodiments and the drawings.
The invention will be explained in more detail below on an embodiment of a seat with three seats, the invention is not limited to the present embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic 3-dimensional view of an embodiment of the seat device according to the invention, which is arranged between the first platform 18 and the second platform 19 of a staircase-shaped seating area. The seat device comprises a support structure 1 with a front support 2, as well as a rear support. On the support structure 1, a seat 14, and a backrest 13 are arranged. The seat 14 is hinged about a fitting 28 via a schematically indicated axis of rotation. The backrest 13 is folded over an axis of rotation in the fitting 28 to the front, wherein further a schematically indicated guidance is provided.
In the present embodiment, the seat device comprises three seats and it is envisaged that the three backrests 13 can be folded together forward. On the back of the backrest 13 is a tread 25, which forms the top of the seat device when the backrests 13 are folded forward. The seats 14 can be folded up to allow the user a better pass.
The support structure 1 further comprises a first U-shaped side leg 20 and a second U-shaped side foot 21. When folded down, these feet serve to stabilize the support structure on the ground. The support structure 1 rests in the illustrated state on the two first feet 3, and the two second feet 4, which are arranged at its upper end on the front and rear support, and at its lower end to a first holder 5, and a second holder 6 are rotatably mounted. The first holder 5, as well as the second holder 6 are realized in the present embodiment as bottom flaps. On the first holder 5, a strut 9 is further rotatably arranged, which is coupled at its upper end to the upper end of one of the second feet 4.
The vertically adjustable seat device is screwed by means of the brackets 5, 6, as well as other bottom flaps 27 fix on the grandstands and fixed by means of a flexible, pivotable and separately mounted skirt 17. The skirt 17 has recesses 22, 23 for the positive reception of the feet 3, 4, and the strut 9 and is connected by means of special tools with the frame of the seat device. For this purpose, the skirt 17 on the front side in each case a foot, which is rotatably connected to a respective bottom flap 27. The apron is used in the closed lowered form of the seat device as a conclusion and support of the folded and now used as a standing room seat device.
On the two straps 2 U-shaped side feet 20, 21 are welded as a cross connection. These side feet also serve as static support and as height compensation of the seat device in the lowered state.
The backrest 13 is connected to the support structure 1 by fittings 28 and mounted with joints. The fittings 28 are bolted to the support structure 1.
In the present embodiment, two first feet 3 and two second feet 4 are provided. Both the first two feet 3, and the two second feet 4 are connected at their lower ends via a hollow profile 29. The hollow sections 29 serve inter alia for receiving the torsion springs 26 described in the following and have an angle limitation. The first feet 3 and the second feet 4 are rotatably supported at their lower ends on the first holder 5 and the second holder 6, respectively. The brackets 5, 6 are fixedly attached to the first platform 18 of the grandstand and have axes for the rotatable mounting of the feet 3, 4. At their upper ends, the feet 3, 4 are guided along the support 2 in linear guides 7, 8, as will be described in the following figures.
Seen from the front, an additional strut 9, which is arranged on the right next to the front first foot 3, establishes a connection and coupling with the front second foot 4. This results in the vertical lowering of the seat device, a parallelogram with the front second leg 4 and the strut. 9
This strut is rotatably mounted at its lower end with an axis on the first holder 5 and prevents tilting of the feet in the vertical height adjustment of the support structure. 1
The upper ends of the feet 3, 4 fold through the guides 7, 10 in the carrier 2 when lowering the support structure 1 from the vertical position to the outside, the strut 9 follows the second foot 4 and prevents tilting by uneven pressure from above. In the lowered state of the support structure 1, the first feet 3, the second feet 4 and the strut 9 come to rest in a predefined lying position. When erecting the seat device, the feet move 3, 4 and the strut 9 from the outside upwards, and finally take back the illustrated vertical position.
When converting the seat device in a standing room, the latched and fixed apron 17 is first unlocked and then folded 90 degrees down. The backrests 13 are secured with a lock against unintentional folding and this backup must be opened. This backup can also be used as a lock for the next bank at the same time. Subsequently, the seat device is brought by folding the backrest 13 and simultaneous straightening the seats 14 in a horizontal, folded position. The height is still unchanged in this position. The arranged on the back of the backrest 13 tread 25 is now visible from above. Through an opening in the rear region of the tread 25, a gear 24 is accessible, which can be actuated very quickly by means of a corresponding tool, such as a cordless screwdriver, without applying force. As a result, the first feet 3 and second feet 4 are oppositely displaced outwards and the seat device is lowered vertically and converted in height to a standing position. Thereafter, only a closed box can be seen, which is completed from the front through the skirt 17. The tread 25 is then locked and serves as the upper end and at the same time as a stable floor space and appearance. The closed box acts as an intermediate between the grandstand stages in the form of the first platform 18 and second platform 19 and can be used seamlessly and consistently as a step without additional intermediate elements or fitting elements.
When converting the seat device from standing room to seat no matching elements are required by the novel vertical adjustment system. The tread 25 of the box is unlocked and the closed box can be opened as follows. First, by the release in the seat, the gear by a tool, such as a cordless screwdriver, operated so that the first and second feet 3, 4 are brought into a vertical position and the support structure moves upwards. The backrest 13 is raised, folded up and locked. The seats 14 then automatically fold upwards by their weight. Subsequently, the apron standing on the ground is folded upward by 90 ° and the recesses 22, 23 are pushed over the feet 3, 4 or the struts 9. The now latched skirt 17 is blocked, is thus fixed and thus stabilized the entire seat device.
Thus, the seat device can be converted from standing room to seat and back within a very short time, without additional components are needed.
The seat device according to the invention can be performed in particular for a stadium seating in the form of a single seat or multi-seated. It can be designed in different fleas, adapted to the respective step shape, as a seat and standing room.
The seat 14 and the backrest 13 may be executed with or without flat steel frame, upholstered, plastic or metal in various designs over the entire surface or with various perforations or designs depending on the application.
The vertical height adjustment can be realized via the gear described with racks, or by means of springs mounted in the legs, by means of gas pressure springs, or in other ways.
Figures 2a to 2e show different views of an embodiment of the seat device according to the invention. Figure 2a shows a view of the seat device in the unfolded state from the front. The support structure 1 comprises a support 2, on which backrests 13 and seat surfaces 14 are arranged. The carrier 2 has at its end faces in each case a U-shaped first side leg 20 and second side leg 21.
The carrier 2 rests on the first foot 3 and the second foot 4. The first foot 3 and second foot 4 are respectively rotatably supported at their lower end to the first and second flats 6, 6, and at its upper end along the substantially straight running carrier 2 in a first linear guide 7 and a second linear guide 8 out. For this purpose, located inside the carrier 2, a first displaceable carriage 11 and a second displaceable carriage 12, which are each connected to the upper ends of the feet 3, 4 via a rotation axis. The axis of rotation may for example be designed in the form of a bolt, which is guided in the linear guide 7, 8.
In the hollow profile 29 at the lower end of the first foot 3, and the second foot 4 is a torsion spring 26. The torsion spring 26 is fixed at one of its ends in the respective foot 3, 4 and at the other end to the holder 5, 6 or Held directly on the ground, so that it counteracts a displacement of the feet 3, 4 from the vertical position. The feet 3, 4 are rotatably mounted at their lower ends to the first holder 5 and the second holder 6.
Furthermore, a strut 9 is provided, which is arranged next to the first foot 3 and is rotatably mounted on the same first holder 5 as the first foot 3, but on a separate axis. At its upper end, the strut 9 is guided in a third guide 10 and connected via a rotation axis with the second carriage 12. Through this connection with the second carriage 12, on which the second foot 4 is also rotatably mounted, the strut 9 is coupled to the second foot 4. When the support structure is moved downwards, as indicated by arrows in FIG. 2c, move the feet 3, 4 to the outside and the strut 9 follows in its movement by the coupling on the second carriage 12 of the movement of the second foot 4. The second foot 4 and the strut 9 form a parallelogram seen from the front. This ensures that a tilting of the support structure is prevented during vertical adjustment.
Figure 2b shows the view of the seat device from the front, when the backrest 13 is folded forward. In this case, the tread 25, which is made of Riffelblech, clearly visible. Figure 2c shows the situation when the skirt 17 is folded forward and the support structure 1 is adjusted downwards.
By folding the apron 17, the feet 3, 4 and the strut 9 are released. The first foot 3 moves outward in the first guide 7, the second foot 4 moves outward in the second guide 8, and the strut 9 follows the movement of the second foot 4 in the third guide 10.
In order to enable a movement of the feet in the guides which is as low in friction as possible, carriages 11, 12 made of polyamide, a polyamide surface or a comparable low-friction surface are arranged in the interior of the carrier 2. In the position of the feet 3, 4 according to Figure 2c can be seen that the torsion springs 26 counteract a rotation of the feet 3, 4.
Figure 2d finally shows a view of the seat device in the folded state. The skirt 17 covers almost the entire front area and it is only the recesses 22 and 23, which serve in the unfolded state for fixing the feet 3, 4 and the strut 9, visible. At the top, the seat device is closed by the tread 25.
Figure 2e shows a detailed view of the carrier 2, the feet 3, 4 and the strut 9. It is visible that the feet 3, 4 are rotatably mounted at its lower end to the Flalterungen 5, 6 and 26 are under torsional tension with the torsion springs , The strut 9 is also rotatably mounted on the first Flaltung 5. The upper ends of the feet 3, 4 and the strut 9 are guided in the linear guides 7, 8, 10, wherein the slide 11,12 are provided for low-friction guidance. In order to transmit the movement of the strut 9 to the second foot 4, the upper end of the strut 9 is rotatably connected to a carriage 12, and the upper end of the foot 4 is rotatably connected to the same carriage. The dimensions of the carriage 12 must be adapted to the respective requirements in order to enable a displacement of the feet without the carriages abutting the side walls of the carrier 2.
The arrows in Figure 2e indicate the direction of movement of the support 2 and the feet 3, 4 and the strut 9 at.
Figure 3a shows a schematic view of the seat device in the folded state from above. In the tread 25 a recess is arranged, through which a gear 24 can be actuated. The gear 24 engages in two racks 15, 16 a. Upon actuation of the gear, the two racks 15, 16 move in opposite directions, as shown schematically in Figure 3b.
The two racks 15, 16 are connected to the upper ends of the feet 3, 4, so that upon actuation of the gear 24, the upper ends of the feet 3, 4 are displaced in opposite directions.
Figure 4 shows a section through the embodiment of the seat device according to the invention along the line B-B of Figure 2a. The seat device is fixedly screwed to the first platform 18 of a grandstand stage via a holder 5. The support structure 1 comprises a support 2, inside which the displaceable slide 12 is located. Further, a U-shaped side leg 20 is arranged on the support structure 1. The support structure carries a seat surface 14 and a backrest 13. Both the seat surface 14 and the backrest 13 are rotatable about an axis, wherein the seat surface 14 can be folded upwards, and the backrest 13 via a guide down. At the back of the seat device, a second carrier is arranged, in the interior of which the first rack 15, the gear 24, and the second rack 16 is located.
Upon actuation of the gear 24, the racks 15, 16 move in opposite directions and move the upper ends of the feet 3, 4 accordingly. The two first feet 3 are connected together at their lower ends via a hollow profile 29. Inside the hollow profile is a torsion spring 26 which engages at one end in one of the first feet 3, and engages at its other end in the first holder 5. The torsion spring counteracts a rotation of the feet 3.
Figure 5 shows a side view of the seat device according to the invention in the folded state. The apron 17 is folded forward and closes the formed standing room from the front. At the top, the backrest 13 with the tread 25 forms a stable conclusion. The side of the fitting 28 watching, on which the back 13 and the seat 14 are mounted reversible.
Also visible is the support structure 1 with the support 2 and a further support arranged on the rear side of the seat device and the U-shaped first side foot 20. The seat device rests in this folded state mainly on the two side feet 20, 21. Also visible are the folded-in first feet 3, in the interior of which the torsion spring 26 engages, and the first holder 5, which is screwed to the ground, namely the first platform 18.
As is apparent from the drawing, the vertical extent of the seat device in the collapsed state is approximately equal to half the vertical distance between the first platform 18 and the second platform 19, so that the collapsed seat device forms a uniform intermediate stage between the first platform 18 and the second platform 19.
6-7 show views of a bearing 30 for the gear 24. The bearing 30 is designed as a polyamide block, which has two U-shaped recesses for receiving and guiding the racks 15, 16, and normally a bore for receiving the gear 24 , When inserted, the gear 24 extends into the recesses and drives the racks 15, 16 used. The
Interaction of the gear 24 and the racks 15,16 is shown in Fig. 8.
For low-friction displacement of the racks 15, 16, these are connected to slides 31a, 31b, which are mounted in the interior of the rear support 2. The carriages have bores 32 for connection to the rear first foot 3, as well as bores 33 for connection to the toothed racks 15, 16. 10 and 11 a-11 b show schematic representations of the carriage 31 a, the position of the rack 15 being indicated schematically in FIG. 11 a. Figures 9a and 9b are schematic illustrations of the first carriage 11 and the second carriage 12 described above.
Both the gear bearing 30, and the two carriages 31a and 31b are arranged in the rear part of the carrier 2, as shown schematically in Fig. 4 can be seen.
In Fig. 8, the rack 15 is connected to the carriage 31b, and the rack 16 is connected to the carriage 31a. Both racks are slidably mounted in the gear holder 30 and are engaged with the gear 24 in engagement. Upon rotation of the gear 24 in the counterclockwise direction, the rack 15 moves to the left and moves the carriage 31b to the left.
At the same time, the rack 16 rotates to the right and moves the carriage 31a to the right. By the slides 31a, 31b are connected via the holes 32 with the rear first foot 3 and second foot 4, there is a corresponding spread apart of these two feet, which leads in the manner described above to a vertical adjustment of the seat device.
